Mission

Alessandro Minichilli
Alessandro has extensive experience in research and executive education in corporate governance and family business, teaching at the undergraduate, master’s, and MBA levels, as well as in various executive programs at Bocconi University and SDA Bocconi. In this context, he serves as director or co-director of executive courses such as the SDA Bocconi Directors’ Program, the International Board Program, the Governance Program, Governance and Corporate Decision-Making, General Management for SMEs, and Family Strategies and Wealth Planning. He is also the scientific coordinator of the SDA Bocconi – Elite (Borsa Italiana) program and director of board induction initiatives for both listed and private companies.
He is the author of over 70 scientific publications, mostly international. His work has appeared in some of the most prestigious journals such as Management Science, Strategic Management Journal, and Corporate Governance: An International Review, among others. He has also authored numerous research reports, including the annual report of the Corporate Governance Lab, which monitors the governance structures and performance of Italy’s largest 7,000 companies. He has collaborated for many years in the development of the AIDAF-Unicredit-Bocconi Observatory on Italian family businesses and is a member of the scientific committee of several important international journals.
He actively collaborates with AIdAF (Italian Association of Family Businesses), NED Community, ANDAF, and various territorial industrial associations, and is strongly involved in the dissemination of governance best practices, especially among SMEs. In this regard, he was co-author or part of the small group of authors responsible for the “Principles for the Governance of Non-Listed Family-Controlled Companies – Code of Conduct,” developed in collaboration with AIdAF, and the “Guidelines and Corporate Governance Principles for Non-Listed Companies,” produced by NED Community and EcoDa.
He is a frequent speaker at numerous academic, professional, and industry conferences on governance and family business topics and has organized several national and international conferences, workshops, and events.
Alessandro holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration and Management from Bocconi University. He is married and has three children.

Angela Sabatino
She holds a degree in Management from Bocconi University in Milan and later expanded her education with a Master’s in Tax Law from Il Sole 24 Ore. She has also taught at the School of Advanced Training for Chartered Accountants in Brescia.
An expert in corporate matters, she provides professional assistance to predominantly national clients, supporting them in a wide range of areas related to taxation and extraordinary transactions.
Her expertise has significantly developed in family-controlled businesses, a context where strategic management and balancing family and corporate dynamics are crucial for ensuring business continuity and long-term success, with a particular focus on generational transitions. Additionally, she has gained extensive knowledge in corporate, ownership, and organizational restructuring activities, particularly in analyzing ownership, corporate, and managerial structures, assessing strategic development prospects, streamlining processes, and adapting strategies to evolving market needs.
From 2007 to 2010, she worked with one of the Big Four firms in the audit sector, and from 2011 to 2024, she was part of a boutique firm of Chartered Accountants in Milan, specializing in corporate and tax consulting within the corporate division.
Since 2023, she has served as an independent director at Mediolanum Vita S.p.A. and Mediolanum Assicurazioni S.p.A., as well as a statutory auditor in other capital companies.

Valentino D’Angelo
He teaches Management and Business Administration at the university level, while his research focuses on the corporate governance of both listed and non-listed companies, as well as corporate strategy, including internationalization, diversity and inclusion (D&I), innovation, and ESG topics.
Valentino has gained experience as a consultant for companies and entrepreneurial families, contributing to the design and implementation of corporate governance regulations and mentorship programs for next-generation family members entering and growing within the business. He has also provided regular assistance to several listed companies in board review processes as an independent expert.

Lorenzo Battioni
Since 2024, after developing a deep understanding of financial mechanisms, market dynamics, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, he has become actively involved in managing his family business, which focuses on innovation in the regenerated plastics industry.
Currently, he divides his time between his family business and strategic and managerial consulting. This dual experience gives him a unique perspective, combining an entrepreneurial vision with the analytical expertise of a consultant.

Decio Cataldi
He contributed to the writing of the book “La Governance nelle aziende in crisi” (Governance in Companies in Crisis), where he examined the implications of appointing external board members, with a specific focus on the role of the Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO).
He actively collaborates on Corporate Governance projects for family-owned businesses, assisting them in board review plans and the drafting of corporate governance regulations.
